Payments & refunds
Updated / Project applications active
When payment is due
| Agreed project value | Payment before work | Second payment |
|---|---|---|
| Below EUR 5,000 | 100% of the agreed price, after written acceptance and before work starts. | None. |
| EUR 5,000 or more | 50% after written acceptance and before work starts. | 50% before delivery of the final files or handover; final delivery is unlocked once that instalment is received. |
The proposal and invoice must state the currency, tax treatment, due date, bank or payment provider and what counts as delivery. No card details are collected through this website and no payment is currently taken at application stage.
Refunds and withdrawal
These commercial terms do not remove mandatory consumer rights. For a consumer distance contract, EU rules generally provide a 14-day withdrawal period, subject to the applicable national implementation and exceptions. If a service starts during that period, the consumer must expressly request early performance and may owe a proportionate amount for what was supplied; once a service is fully performed, the withdrawal exception requires the consumer’s prior express consent and acknowledgement of the loss of that right. Directive 2011/83/EU, Articles 9, 14 and 16.
For paid digital services that are not supplied as agreed, EU rules provide remedies such as bringing the service into conformity, a proportionate price reduction or termination where the legal conditions are met. On termination, sums due must be reimbursed without undue delay and generally within 14 days using the same payment method, without a fee. Directive (EU) 2019/770, Articles 14–18.
For business-to-business contracts, consumer withdrawal rules may not apply, but the signed contract, applicable national law and agreed cancellation provisions still govern. Any deposit that is non-refundable, a cancellation fee or a milestone acceptance rule must be written clearly in the proposal and reviewed for the client’s status and jurisdiction.
How to request a refund or correction
Write to hello@lab0-2.com with the project reference, the issue and the remedy requested. We will identify the governing contract, distinguish a statutory consumer remedy from a discretionary commercial cancellation, stop or limit work where appropriate, and confirm the outcome in writing. This page is practical information, not legal advice; the final contract should be checked for the customer’s country and status before any payment is requested.
